My Cars: 1976 Porsche 911 Carrera 3.0 Coupe

This car is a left-hand-drive (LHD) 1976 911 Carrera 3.0 in Continental Orange. Highly modified, I bought it in Switzerland in 2006. It has too many tweaks to list but is not currently in use: the most recent MOT expired in October 2012.
The car suffered in storage while at my in-law’s garage for a few years. The garage was damp and the paint developed significant microblistering, which is water getting under the paint and lifting it away from the metal underneath. Minor rust common to all 911s of this vintage has set into the bodyshell, including in the offside sill, in the windscreen corners. This will have to be stripped back, repaired and repainted.
There is some mechanical recommissioning to do, but twenty-two years working with Porsches has taught me a few things and I am blessed with some clever friends to help. Expect to see this in use sometime later in 2025.
